I’m Bethany Myers, an artist who creates in many directions, disciplines and subject matter. My interests are diverse. I probably should pick a lane and stick to it. Ultimately I throw myself into whatever is the shiniest object at the time. For the purposes of this website, I’ll stick to only a few.

My latest project is a birdhouse for my Dad’s birthday.
The birdhouse was unfinished wood when I bought it and after priming I painted it as an abandoned house. I love painting architecture. I painted shingles, windows, etc. The part I’m most proud of is the wood planks. I cut up balsam wood and soaked it in boiling water with teabags and sprinkled coffee on top to make knotholes. It soaked over night.

Every First Friday & Saturday at FAVO
FAVO, Faith Arts Village Orlando, is an art community which is open every first weekend of the month with more than 25 artists in residence and lots of art to see. The event and parking are free and family friendly.
